Help! I can't access my Office 365 email account!
Let's say your computer crashed and now you have a new one that has all new programs and you can't recall how to access your email. Or, someone set it up for you a long time ago and now you have to start all over but no longer work with the person who set it up.
Accessing Office 365 (Microsoft Email) is a bit different than say, GMail Suite but you can still find results pretty quickly. We're here to help as well! Please view our suggestions and if you still have trouble, just give us a call at 517-320-2543.
How to access your Office 365 Email
First things first, rest easy knowing that while you are dealing with figuring out how to access your email, there is quick and easy way to access it regardless if your programs are not installed anymore. Just follow option #1 below.
Access your email from any web browser, anytime, without the need for 3rd party email software. This is called, OWA (Online Web Access).
If you have purchased your email from GoDaddy visit this link: https://sso.godaddy.com/?realm=pass&app=o365 and enter your login and password.
If you have purchased your email directly from Microsoft, visit this link: https://login.microsoftonline.com/and enter your login and password.
If you do not remember your email password, you will need to hit "forgot password" while on the OWA version NOT Outlook and go through that process to reset your password.
If you have trouble with the "forget password" feature, you will have to then go into either your GoDaddy or Microsoft account and reset it manually or get with the company who's providing you the email. That said, try the first step first.
Access your email from Outlook–follow these instructions.
Outlook Setup Instructions
Open Outlook. (Don't have the app? Download it at the Microsoft site.)
Select File then + Add Account.
Enter your Office 365 email address and select Connect.
Enter your Office 365 email password and select Sign In. You might be asked to choose if you want to use this account everywhere on your device. Note: You may need to specify your account type as Work or School or Personal. Select Work or School to continue.
Once Outlook shows that the email address was added correctly, select Done.
